THE WAY WE ARE
We are trained to observe trees from the angle of botany and physics, but lately as I started to deepen my understanding of trees through various methods, like taking photographs of trees on my every day walks in parks or while traveling overseas, I suddenly began to look at trees as creations of art, with strong abstract tendencies. This change in perception came to me spontaneously, I was not looking in this direction. Now all I can see in trees are lines, marks, composition, tone, and form.
As I incorporate them into my paintings and blend them into my invented alternate realm, they become more present inside of me. I can eternalize each unique one to engrave into my memory, so that I never lose them, even if the time comes when they become physically extinct.
The two species are: 1- the abstract artwork, 2- the tree, So the tree is made of a different medium- a pencil drawing or a photographic image. A collaboration between a Painter and the Botanical species. Two artists that are doing something similar, drawing on similar ideas.
